| SYMPTOMS
- Abdominal pain and swelling
- Flatulence and bloated feeling
- Diarrhea
- Pail, foul-smelling stools that may float in water, sometimes with yellow fat globules floating on the surface of water in the toilet.
- Fatigue, loss of appetite, and eventual loss of weight.
- Itchy, blistering skin on elbows and knees in people with dermatitis herpetiformis.
- In children, delayed growth and muscle weakness.
- In infants, signs of extreme gastrointestinal distress within a few weeks after starting to eat cereal.
